Teacher Designers

At AXL, teachers are curriculum designers. They work in teams to create engaging learning experiences for scholars based on meaningful, hands-on projects that integrate standards across multiple subjects. They embrace planning for and teaching a diverse classroom of scholars with a wide variety of learning styles, needs and behaviors. They form meaningful relationships with scholars and families.

Open Positions for 2017-2018

7th / 8th Grade Science

In addition to the qualities listed above, Highly Qualified Secondary Science teacher to teach two sections of 7th and two sections of 8th grade, as well as leading an elective each day.  Collaborate with the 7th / 8th grade team in generating meaningful integrated Expeditions and Modules.  Host a Crew, an advisory equivalent.  Grow the experiential approach to Science through creative planning and energy.  Provide organizational and leadership duties in helping to establish and manage the Middle School climate and culture.
