Abby Kirkbride, Associate, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck

Abby Kirkbride’s practice focuses on representing clients in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition of various commercial properties, including office buildings, shopping centers and hotels. She has experience in facilitating joint venture partnerships and project opportunities, performing due diligence in all phases of real estate transactions, supervising renovation activities and participating in the city of Denver’s development review process. With a background in land use, urban planning and municipal representation, Abby also frequently works on projects at the local government level.

Prior to joining the firm, Abby was an associate with White, Bear, Ankele, Tanaka & Waldron, P.C. in Centennial, Colorado and also worked as a partner in Westbrook Development Partners in Denver, Colorado. She previously served as a law clerk for the Colorado Municipal League and interned for the Denver City Attorney’s Office and for Clarion Associates.

Abby holds a Masters of Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Colorado.

Warren Smith, Proud AXL Parent

Warren currently serves as the Online Student Support Manager for Colorado Community College Online, supporting online students for the state of Colorado’s 13 community colleges. Prior to CCCO he was an educational counselor in DPS at Denver Kids, Inc.  Prior to that he worked in APS for a total of 10 years as a campus monitor before obtaining his bachelors in Communication from Regis University in 2008.

Warren is the parent of a 2nd grader at AXL and is married to Robyn Smith. He enjoys watching and refereeing basketball as well as playing golf.

Jacqueline Ros, CEO and Founder, Revolar

Former AXL Teacher

Jacqueline has always been passionate about social issues. Before she became an entrepreneur, Jacqueline worked with Teach for America as a Spanish Teacher at AXL Academy and as a guardian ad litem for abused and neglected children. Since she founded her company Revolar, Jacqueline has guided her team through a successful Kickstarter campaign, the Techstars Boulder 2015 accelerator program, a $3 million financing round from Foundry Group and the nationwide launch of Revolar’s first product.

Nathan R. South

Board President
Nathan has over twenty years of leadership experience in a variety of technology companies. He was most recently General Manager and Chief Marketing Officer at Nokero Solar where he was responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations, strategy and marketing.

Prior to Nokero, Nathan was Vice President at Cricket Communications where he oversaw corporate-wide planning, analytics, forecasting, customer experience, market research, and sales compensation. He formerly led Dell’s worldwide consumer desktop product planning team. Nathan worked for two start-ups during the boom. He began his career as a civil engineer leading large, complex projects including a subway station in Singapore and the world’s most hurricane-prone bridge on North Carolina’s Outer Banks.

Nathan has an MBA from the University of Michigan, a Masters in Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelors in Engineering from Lehigh University. Nathan previously served on the South High School Community Partnership Board. Nathan cares deeply about improving public education and protecting our environment. He lives in Denver with his wife and two children and enjoys outdoor sports, reading and cooking.
